Jones Beach Bus Service Starts Up Memorial Day Weekend
Beachgoers can access the N88 bus from the Freeport LIRR station and the Hempstead Terminal.

WANTAGH, NY — It's no "day at the beach" when it comes to parking. But NICE (Nassau Inter-County Express) bus has it covered.
They'll kick off summer non-stop service to Jones Beach State Park on Memorial Day weekend, in conjunction with the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach.
The NICE N88 bus will start an hourly round-trip shuttle from the Freeport LIRR station on Friday, May 26 at 8:28 a.m. (with the practice day for the air show)

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, buses will leave the Freeport station every half-hour starting at 8:28 a.m. On all four days of the holiday weekend, the last bus will depart Jones Beach at 8:55 p.m.
For the Memorial Day weekend, buses will arrive and depart from the West Bathhouse only.

The daily runs to all three bathhouses from the Freeport LIRR is as of Tuesday, May 30. Weekend service will also be available to and from the Hempstead Terminal.
A one-way fare is $2.75. NICE accepts its GoMobile payment app, MTA MetroCard or coins for payment.
