Local Park Hosts Movie Night Each Wednesday This Month
The August films are weather permitting at Wantagh Park.

WANTAGH, NY — A touch of Hollywood comes to the South Shore with this month's Family Movie Night.
Tickets are free, but all screenings are weather permitted at Wantagh Park.

Aug. 3: "Top Gun," the original Tom Cruise film is gaining more popularity thanks to the hit sequel.
Aug. 10: "Minions: The Rise of Gru," since its release last month it has raked in more than $700 million.

Aug. 17: "Jurassic Park," the Steven Spielberg classic was the highest-grossing film in history, until getting surpassed by "Titanic."
Aug. 24: Disney's "Moana" from 2016, stars the voice of Dwayne Johnson.
Aug. 31: "Guardians of the Galaxy," based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, pulled in more than $750 million at the worldwide box office.
Moviegoers have the choice to watch from their cars and listen via the car phone, or they can settle on the grass with a chair or blanket.
Tickets are available each Sunday prior to the movie via Eventbrite. The event is organized by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce.
