Massapequa Man Charged in Seaford Dairy Barn Theft

John Wallace accused of stealing cigarettes at Dairy Barn stores in Seaford and Massapequa.

A Massapequa man has been arrested for breaking into two Dairy Barn stores including one in Seaford, police said.

John Wallace, was charged Wednesday in connection with a July 31 break-in at the Dairy Barn located on Broadway in Massapequa and an Aug. 7 burglary at the store's Seaford location on 3990 Jerusalem Ave. 

Wallace allegedly forced open a sliding door at the Massapequa store at 3:43 a.m. and removed more than $600 worth of cigarettes.

A week later, he forced open the door of the Seaford store at 2:34 a.m. and swiped $450 worth of smokes, police said. 

Wallace was arrested at his home on Wednesday and charged with third-degree burglary.

in 2010, Wallace was one of for a similar burglary at the Dairy Barn on 907 North Broadway in Massapequa.
