What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Wednesday is expected to be a pleasant day in the Wantagh-Seaford area with sunny skies and a high near 77 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
2. The Nassau County Legislature voted 10-8 yesterday to approve , which if implemented would greatly affect the Wantagh-Seaford area. To read about the changes that would result from the redistricting in Wantagh and Seaford, click .
3. The Seaford softball team dropped game two of its best-of-three Nassau County Class A Championship Series against Plainedge yesterday and will face the Red Devils in a winner-take-all contest Thursday. Check back later for a story and photos of yesterday's game.

4. is hosting an end-of-the-year award ceremony to honor students who have excelled in various academic departments or athletics. The ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. in the high school's John Manso Auditorium.
