May 26: Civic Group Meeting, Open Houses, Playoffs

1. The pleasant conditions the Wantagh-Seaford area experienced yesterday are expected to continue today with sunny skies and a high near 72 degrees forecasted, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The  is holding a meeting at  tonight starting at 7:30 p.m. Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano is scheduled to be the guest speaker.

3. The  softball team is playing for the Nassau County Class A title today when it faces Plainedge in the deciding game of its best-of-three championship series. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale.

4. Both the Wantagh and Seaford boys lacrosse teams will have playoff games at Hofstra Soccer Stadium this evening. Wantagh will square off against Manhasset at 5:30 p.m. in the Nassau County Class B semifinals. Seaford is scheduled to face Friends Academy at 8 p.m. in the Nassau County Class C semifinals.
