Nassau County Extends Warming Centers Amid Deep Freeze
The locations will be available for residents as temperatures are forecast to stay in the 20s on Wednesday.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — With sub-freezing temperatures remaining in the forecast this week, Nassau County temporary warming spaces will be open at three locations.
Cantiague Park Administration Office in Hicksville will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Wantagh Administration Building will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone at either location after 4 p.m. will be brought to Mitchel Field, which is open 24 hours a day.

If someone needs transport, they should call 911 and will be taken to Mitchel Field.
Wednesday's high is only forecasted to reach the mid-20s.
