New Long Island Eyewear Chain Opens Featuring Virtual Technology

The first two Lookable stores are located in Babylon and Wantagh.

WANTAGH, NY — A new vision-wear business is opening locations on Long Island.

Lookable features virtual technology for contactless and comprehensive vision tests and offers a wide variety of name-brand frames that can be shipped directly to customers, Long Island Business News said.

The chain's first shops are in Babylon at 135 Deer Park Ave. and in Wantagh at 3251 Sunrise Highway.

Lookable has two other locations opening soon:

  • Merrick, 2324 Merrick Rd.
  • Smithtown, 83 W. Main. St.

"We are thrilled to be launching the first Lookable stores after conceiving the idea only a year ago. The industry has been stuck in outdated methods and technology, and the consumer deserves better," James Vena, founder of Lookable and CEO of Lion Management Service Organization, said in a company statement.

Lookable stores will also provide customers on-demand tele-optometry and contact lens fittings.
