Potter Parody Performances To Premier At Seaford High In November
The Seaford High School Drama Club is currently rehearsing for "Puffs, or Seven Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic."

SEAFORD, NY. — The Seaford High School Drama Club will be performing a new story from a well-known magic school this November, when the 26-student ensemble presents “Puffs, or Seven Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.”
Written by Matt Cox and first performed in 2015, “Puffs” is an unendorsed, unsanctioned parody of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, containing veiled references to the original story but diverting heavily to tell the story of ordinary students, known as Puffs.
Where the original franchise followed the exploits of Harry Potter and his friends as they fought dragons, evil wizards and giant snakes, Puffs follows a group of ordinary kids who just want to get through their school year. The official website of the play describes it as, “a play for anyone who has never been destined to save the world,” adding that it was, “written by Matt Cox as a transformative & transfigured work under the magic that is US Fair Use laws.”
