PSEG Long Island Is 'Ready' For Nor'Easter
Workers have been doing system checks and will be available to remove trees and fix downed lines, PSEG LI says.
UNIONDALE, NY — Residents are bracing for a Nor'easter and so is PSEG Long Island.
The storm is expected to bring flooding rain and gusting winds to parts of the area, especially the south shore.
The utility company is thinking about the possible loss of power for customers and said they are "ready for the impending weather," a PSEG LI spokesperson said.

They are performing system checks before conditions deteriorate on Tuesday.

"Crews are prepared to respond to and restore outages caused by the storm, safely and as quickly as possible," PSEG LI said.
As a reminder, downed wires should always be considered live. People can call PSEG Long Island to report an outage or downed wires at 1-800-490-0075.
Other tips from PSEG LI:
- Don't drive into a large pool of standing water as downed power lines are hard to see.
- Don't run gasoline-powered generators in a garage or an enclosed space.
