PSEGLI Prepares For Major Snowstorm, Possible Blizzard Conditions
The utility company says more than 900 workers will be available on Saturday to deal with restoration issues.
UNIONDALE, NY — With the nor'easter expected to track closer to Long Island, accumulations can top a foot and winds can exceed 50 miles per hour on Saturday.
PSEG Long Island says they are ready for whatever the storm brings.
They will have more than 900 line workers, trim trimmers and other utility personnel to handle any restoration issues on Saturday.

"We have performed system and logistic checks, and have additional personnel at the ready,
Michael Sullivan, vice president of transmission & distribution, said in a statement. "However the storm tracks, our crews will safely restore any outages as quickly as these wintry conditions allow."
During the storm, PSEG Long Island may use an enhancement to its outage communications process to increase the accuracy of estimated times of restoration.

PSEG Long Island reminds residents that downed wires should always be considered "live." To report a downed wire, call their 24-hour electric service number at 800-490-0075 or call 911.
Generators should never be used inside a home, basement or garage, or within 20 feet of a window, door or vent, the utility company said.
