Seaford Girls Volleyball Squad Spikes LI; Advances To State Tourney
The Vikings defeated Bayport-Blue Point for the Long Island title.
SEAFORD, NY — It's on to the state championship tournament for the Seaford High School Girls' Varsity Volleyball team.
After deposing North Shore in the Nassau County final last week, the Vikings outlasted Bayport-Blue Point in a five-set thriller. Seaford erased a championship point by Bayport and took the next two points, winning the final set, 17-15. That game was played on Nov. 11.
It's only the second time in school history that Seaford won the Long Island championship.

The Vikings' first match in the state tourney is against Wayne from Steuben County on Saturday afternoon in Glens Falls.
