Seaford Resident Hits Half-Court Shot at Knicks Game

Michael Sapraicone wins a 2012 Kia Optima after banking in shot at halftime of Sunday's New York Knicks-Dallas Mavericks game.

The biggest shot at Sunday’s New York Knicks-Dallas Mavericks game did not come from newest point guard sensation Jeremy Lin, but instead from a Seaford resident.

Michael Sapraicone, of Seaford, brought the Madison Square Garden crowd to its feet when he sank a half-court shot during halftime of Sunday's game to win himself a 2012 Kia Optima.

After banking in his half-court heave, Sapraicone raced across the court and hugged famed film director and avid Knick supporter Spike Lee. Video footage of Sapraicone's shot and embrace with Lee can be found in the attached YouTube video.
