Seaford School District Sends 20 Musicians To All-County Concerts

The students will perform with their All-County ensembles in January.

SEAFORD, NY. — Seaford School District announced Wednesday that 20 musicians from the district had been selected to the Nassau Music Educators Association’s All-County Concerts, which will take place from Jan. 7 to Jan. 18.

From the high school musicians come from Seaford’s band and chorus ranks, with Corinne Gustavson and Molly Restivo joining the Division 5 Treble Choir, Erin McAndrew joining the Division 4 Chorus, Brandon Siegel joining the Division 4 Instrumental Jazz Band and Brian Karaman joining the Division 5 Concert Band.

Middle school musicians joining the All-County concerts include Sofia Cadena and Logan Rackow in the Division 2 Chorus, Peyton Hujber and Leanne Gregorek for the Division 3 Chorus, Jonathan Lau in the Division 2 Band and Samantha Juan in the Division 3 Band.

Finally, nine students from Seaford elementary schools will join Division 1 East ensembles. Those students include Brayden Dubler and Celia Hanshe in the band, with Francesca Guigno, Cillian Perry, Zoie Polyzogopoulos, Sogna Santana, Lillian Schatz, Ariana Speizer and Jerry Zong in the chorus.

“Congratulations to all students who have been accepted into the Nassau Music
Educators Association All-County Festival,” coordinator of fine and applied arts Dr. Patrick Kennedy said. “This is an incredible recognition of the hard work and dedication that these students and their teachers have dedicated to their craft. The selected students are leaders within the music program and should be incredibly proud of this accomplishment.”
