Seaford Senior Strikes A chord At NYSSMA, Named All-State
The senior will attend the State School Music Association's All-State festival in December.

SEAFORD, NY. — Seaford High School senior Brian Karaman will get the chance to perform in Rochester this December after being named to the New York State School Music Association’s All-State symphonic band, the district said.
The four-time all-county musician will attend the NYSSMA festival on Dec. 7 as a clarinet player, though he also plays the alto saxophone, and serves as drum major in the school marching band and treasurer of the Tri-M Music Honor Society at Seaford, school officials said.
When he’s not in school, Brian is also part of the Nassau-Suffolk Wind Symphony, an audition-only high school student ensemble consisting of musicians from across Long Island, district officials said..
