Seaford Was One Of The Rainiest Long Island Towns From Henri

SEAFORD, NY — While the sun returned Tuesday to start the morning and the streets have dried out, Sunday was a different story.

Henri's remnant was a heavy rainstorm for Nassau County.

Seaford had one of the highest rain totals across the island with a waterlogged 6 inches, the National Weather Service says.

The strongest winds stayed well to the east of Long Island.

Wantagh also had quite a wet day with 5.3 inches, as of Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service says the most rain on Long Island fell in Herricks with 7.25 inches.
