Teen Robbed at Knifepoint in North Wantagh

Detectives say suspect stole 14-year old boy's bicycle on Duckpond Drive.

A 14-year old boy in a North Wantagh neighborhood was robbed of his bicycle at knifepoint late Monday afternoon, according to .

According to detectives, at 4:25 p.m. a 14-year-old boy on Duckpond Drive was approached by a male, who told the victim to give him his bicycle. When the boy refused, the suspect displayed a knife and took the victim’s bicycle. The suspect then fled southbound on Duckpond Drive East.

The victim did not sustain any injuries from the kinfepoint robbery, according to police.

The suspect is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, 6’ foot tall, who is roughly 17-years old with a thin build. He was wearing a black waist length coat with red sleeves and a red hood. Detectives said the suspect spoke with a noticeable Hispanic accent.
