Thunderbirds Headline 9th Jones Beach Air Show Memorial Day Weekend
The weekend shows also feature vintage WWII aircraft and the Army Golden Knights Parachute Team.

WANTAGH, NY — The engines are getting revved in anticipation as the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach returns to Memorial Day Weekend.
More than 360,000 people saw the jets soaring across the sky last year.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are back at Jones Beach, headlining their 9th holiday weekend.

Military performers joining the Thunderbirds, include U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the U.S. Marines F-35B Demonstration Team, the U.S. Navy F-18 Growler Legacy Team and the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod.
"We have a full lineup of exciting performers this year and, of course, we are very happy to
welcome the Thunderbirds back to Long Island," said George Gorman, Regional Director, New
York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Long Island Region.

Civilian performers include the world-famous Skytypers and their flight squadron of five vintage WWII aircraft; Mike Goulian, North America’s most decorated aerobatic pilot; Folds of Honor Biplane with Ed Hamill; the American Air Power Museum Warbirds; Long Island’s own David Windmiller; Warbird Thunder Airshows; the Civil Air Patrol; and the Farmingdale State College Flying Rams, who will fly several of their 22 college-owned aircraft.
While there is no fee to attend the Bethpage Air Show, a $10.00 vehicle use fee will be collected each day upon entry to the State Park. For 2023 NYS Empire Pass Card holders, there is no vehicle use fee charge.
It takes place Saturday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
