Wantagh Fire Department Hosts Community Blood Drive

It takes place on Monday, March 3.

WANTAGH, NY — Amid the urgent need for donations in New York, residents can participate in a blood drive next week.

The event is being held at the Wantagh Fire Department on Monday, March 3. It is hosted by State Senator Steve Rhoads, Assemblyman David McDonough, Councilman Chris Schneider, and legislators Michael Giangregorio and John Ferretti.

Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are preferred at nybc.org.

Before donating blood, it's important to eat and drink. Those looking to donate should bring a donor ID card or another form of identification with your name and photo.

The blood drive will run from 1:45-7:45 p.m.
