Wantagh Man Charged with Child Porn Possession

A Wantagh man was arrested Wednesday morning by Nassau County Crimes Against Property (CAP) detectives and charged with possessing child pornography.

A Nassau County police spokesman said Mark E. Samet 54, of Wantagh, shared video on his computer of child pornography with a friend in Suffolk County. According to detectives, the CAP Squad conducted a joint investigation with the Suffolk County Police Department Computer Crimes Unit, which led to the arrest of the Samet.

Samet was charged with 28 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
