Nassau Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Minivan In Suffolk, Police Say
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, police say.

WANTAGH, NY — A Wantagh man is dead after he was hit by a minivan in Copiague, police said. Wojtek Brajczewski, 61, stepped onto Oak Street on Tuesday evening and was hit by a minivan driven by Nicole Campay, 40, of Lindenhurst, Suffolk Police said.
The collision happened around 5:30 p.m. as Campay was driving eastbound near Great Neck Road. Copiague Rescue took Brajczewski to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was declared dead.
Campay was not hurt. The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country she was driving was impounded for a safety check.
