Wantagh Resident Named to American Hospital Association Committee

A Wantagh resident has been named to the governance of a prestigious organization.

Joseph Fennessy will serve as an at large member of the American Hospital Association's committee on Governance.

Fennesy is the chairman of the board of directors of  South Nassau Hospital, and will serve a three year term with AHA starting January 1.

“We are sure that the AHA and the committee will benefit from [Mr. Fennessy’s] expertise and perspective on issues facing the membership,” said Michael P. Guerin, senior vice president and secretary of the AHA.

The AHA is an organization founded in 1898 dedicated to promoting strong health care policy.

Fennessy is also a retired partner and former chief operating officer of the Northeast region of Deloitte & Touche LLP, has more than 40 years’ experience in the public accounting profession.
