WANTAGH, NY — Seaford and Wantagh residents headed to the polls on Tuesday with school budgets on the ballots.

The Seaford School District budget of $80,479,174 passed: 925 to 381, the district announced.

It comes with a tax levy increase of 2.37%.

Proposition #2: Use of capital reserve for up to $1.5 million for construction of new outdoor bathrooms in a comfort station at Seaford High School passed, 966-329.

Proposition #3: Expenditures from existing repair fund, passed by a margin of 1004-289.

Jeayoung "Jimmy" Chwe and Trisha Matulewicz won the Board of Education seats for three-year terms.

In the Wantagh School District, the $89,497,546 budget passed, 1,554 to 657.

Proposition #2: Use of expenditures totaling up to $3,036,000 from existing capital reserve fund passed, 1,584 t0 524.

Tara Cassidy and Adam Fisher were elected to three-year terms with the Board of Education.
