Wantagh-Seaford Election Results: 'Humbled' Clavin Claims Victory
Here are the results for Laura Gillen, Madeline Singas, Steve Rhoads, Chris Carini and more.

WANTAGH, NY — Wantagh and Seaford voters will see a wave of red next year as Republicans dominated elections Tuesday night. Incumbent GOP Legislator Steve Rhoads easily won in District 19 while Chris Carini defeated Democrat Lora Webster to fill the Town of Hempstead council seat vacated by Erin King Sweeney.
Meanwhile, Democratic District Attorney Madeline Singas cruised to victory, but fellow Democrat Laura Gillen trailed GOP challenger Don Clavin in the hotly contested race for supervisor in the Town of Hempstead. Republicans Kate Murray and Jeanine Driscoll both won their races for Hempstead clerk and tax receiver, respectively.
Clavin claimed victory in a Facebook post, writing he was "humbled and proud" to serve as the next supervisor.
