Wantagh Seniors Sign Letters Of Intent To Play Collegiate Sports
Letter-signing is one of the most important highlights of a student-athlete's career.

WANTAGH, NY — Thirteen Wantagh student-athletes will go on to play collegiate sports next fall, joining elite company as only about 7 percent of high-schoolers go on to play in college.
The Wantagh School District said the talented seniors signed national letters of intent Wednesday to continue playing sports in college or university. Letter-signing is one of the most important highlights of a student-athlete's career, the district said in congratulating the kids.
Wantagh students will go on to compete in lacrosse, acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, wrestling, soccer and tennis.

- Isabella DelaCruz, acrobatics and tumbling – Hawaii Pacific University

- Anthony DiMatteo, lacrosse – LIU Post
- Josiah Encarnacion, wrestling – University of Virginia
- Morgan Flaherty, soccer – Adelphi University
- Ethan Insinga, lacrosse – Binghamton University
- Anna Martorella, tennis – St. Francis College, Brooklyn
- Nick O’Connor, baseball – St. Thomas Aquinas College
- Ryan Smith, lacrosse – New York Institute of Technology
