Wantagh Students Get to Display Their Art
Teachers selected works for exhibit at New York State School Boards Association convention.

The artwork of six Wantagh High School students was selected for display in the New York State Art Teachers Association’s exhibit, held at the New York State School Boards Association’s 96th annual convention and education Expo on Oct. 18-20. It was held at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in Manhattan.
Art teachers Patricia Beary, Amy Sue McPartlan and Peter Parlagreco helped select which art would be displayed
The following students were chosen for the honor: Jack Hotaling, “Motorcycle Beetle,” digital; Anna Ingrilli, “So Close,” silver gelatin print; Rebecca Lucher, abstraction, collagraph monoprint; Osama Teepu, “Ready the Sails,” silver gelatin print; Wendy Wasserman, “I Carry Your Heart with Me,” digital; and Tasmiyah Yaqub, abstraction/collagraph monoprint
