Wantagh to Hold Meet and Greet with New District Leaders
Board of Education to host evening Monday evening allowing the public a chance to meet new Interim Superintendent and curriculum chief.
The Wantagh Board of Education is hosting a meet and greet with two newly appointed district leaders this Monday evening.
The event will allow community members a chance to meet and speak with new Interim Superintendent of Schools , and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction . The gathering will take place Monday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. inside the south cafeteria.
Dr. Marsh, who has served more than 40 years in public education, most recently as Superintendent in the Bethpage School District, is scheduled to begin his duties in Wantagh on Monday. He will in for departing Wantagh Superintendent Dr. Lydia Begley, who submitted her resignation in early August to

Dr. Appiarius, who will begin her duties as Wantagh’s curriculum chief on Oct. 1, was previously Assistant Principal at Jericho High School and served as the district's kindergarten through 12th grade coordinator. She replaces Patricia Krizan, who in early August to take a position with Rockland County BOCES as supervisor of instructional Services.
