Wantagh's Capobianco Takes First Olympic Plunge Late Tonight
He'll compete in the synchronized 3-meter springboard diving event.
WANTAGH, NY — Andrew Capobianco will have the support of his hometown Nassau County when he stands on the diving platform tonight.
The Wantagh native, appearing in his first Olympics, will compete in the finals for the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard diving at 2 a.m. (3 p.m. in Tokyo). USA Network is expected to cover the event.
Capobianco, 21, who moved from Long Island when he was 13, will also participate in the 3-meter individual springboard next week.
