The Who Announces Farewell Tour Will Come To Jones Beach This Summer

Tickets to see the legendary rock group go on sale on May 16.

WANTAGH, NY — Rock legends The Who are coming to Long Island this summer. The Song is Over Farewell Tour will stop at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 28.

Tickets go on sale on May 16 at 10 a.m. at Live Nation.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers formed their band in 1964. Led the vocalist Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend, The Who is considered one of the most influential rock groups of the 20th century.

“Every musician’s dream in the early 60’s was to make it big in the US charts. For the Who, that dream came true in 1967 and our lives were changed forever," Daltrey said. "Thanks for being there for us and look forward to seeing you one last time.”

Among their biggest hits include "My Generation," "Pinball Wizard," "Won't Get Fooled Again," "Baba O'Riley" and "Who Are You."
