Deliveryman Mugged In Washington Heights, Police Say

Two men attacked and robbed the deliveryman while he was stopped on West 186th Street.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify two men who attacked a food deliveryman in Washington Heights, police said.

The 38-year-old deliveryman was straddling his bike on the sidewalk of West 186th Street between Audubon and Saint Nicholas avenues on Thursday night when the two muggers approached him, police said. One of the men struck the deliveryman in the head, causing him to fall off his bike and into a nearby parked car, police said.

The two suspects then removed $130 in cash from the deliveryman's pocket before fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim suffered pain to his head, but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The suspects (pictured above) are described as two men in their late teens who both stand around 5-foot-9, police said. One of the men was last seen wearing a white and black hoodie with a bandage under his left eye and the other was last seen wearing a grey winter coat over a burgundy track suit.
