Woman Assaulted While Driving In Washington Heights, Police Say
A man approached a vehicle stopped at an intersection, broke its window and assaulted its driver.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man who assaulted a woman in Washington Heights as she drove through the neighborhood, police say.
A 37-year-old woman was stopped at the intersection of West 166 Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue on the night of April 18 when an unknown man approached her driver side window, police said. The man used a stick to bash the window open and then struck the woman with the object, police said.
A motive for the attack is currently unknown, police said.

The woman suffered lacerations to her head and was treated for her injuries at St. Luke's Hospital.
The suspect is described as a man who was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket with an orange skull design on the back, blue jeans and orange sneakers.
