Free Summer Concert Series In The West Village: What To Know
Westbeth, a nonprofit housing space for artists, is hosting free outdoor concerts in its courtyard throughout the summer.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — There isn't much better than outdoor live music in the summer, and that is exactly what a West Village community is offering.
Westbeth, a nonprofit housing and commercial complex dedicated to affordable living and providing space for artists to work, is hosting a free music series — Summer Soundwaves.
“We are thrilled to debut our summer concert programming, with a wide variety of talented Westbeth musicians, we look forward to welcoming the public to experience all that Westbeth and its inhabitants have to offer,” said George Cominskie, Executive Director of Westbeth, in a news release. “The performers in this series illustrate the brilliant creatives and innovators that help make the Westbeth community so exceptionally unique.”

The performances will take place in Westbeth's interior courtyard at 55 Bethune St.
The series is meant to shine a spotlight on the musicians that live at the Westbeth Artist Housing.

Here's the schedule for the remainder of the summer.
- July 8: Eve Zanni's Jazzmundo with Andreas Brade
- July 15: Steve Berger, Teri Roiger, and John Menegon
- July 22: John Eckert and the New York Jazz Nine
- August 5: Special Surprise Guest
All of the concerts will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.
If it rains on any of those dates, the concert will be held in the Westbeth Community Room.
