Greenwich Village Bar, Former Best In World, Opens Nearby Pop-Up
Dante on MacDougal Street was named the best bar in the world in 2019. The incredibly well-lauded joint is now opening a winter pop-up spot.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — Greenwich Village's Dante is the neighborhood's most celebrated bar in recent years. The watering hole is now temporarily expanding operations with a new winter pop-up location in the South Street Seaport.
The world's top-ranked bar in 2019, located at 79-81 MacDougal Street, is taking over the Seaport's Pearl Alley.
Pearl Alley is at Pier 17 on 89 South Street.

The pop-up space will hold three bars, waterfront views, food, kiosks, games, and live entertainment.
- The Coffee Bar: A selection of pastries, espresso, and coffee cocktails.
- The Dante Bar: A selection of Dante's signature cocktails on tap and in bottled form, as well as a reprise of Dante's hot cocktail menu.
- The Negroni Bar: A fully dedicated bar to negronis, an Italian cocktail made with gin, vermouth, and Campari.
There will also be two food trucks on the premise, a flatbread food truck with creations such as spicy lamb sausage, mozzarella and arugula, along with a Gelateria Truck that offers classic and boozy variations of espresso and gelato-based desserts.

The space will have live music every Thursday through Sunday night from 5:30 to 11 p.m.
It is not clear how long the pop-up will remain open.
Dante also has a location in the West Village at 551 Hudson Street.
