Lobby Package Thief Strikes 3 Times In The West Village: Police
Police are looking for a man connected to several packages going missing from building lobbies in the West Village.
WEST VILLAGE, NY — The New York Police Department is looking for a man wanted in connection to multiple recent package robberies in the West Village.
Police announced on Sunday details of three separate robberies that took place on Tuesday, Sept. 7, where several packages went missing from three different buildings, all in the same area of the West Village.

Robbery 1: At 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered a residential building at 115 Washington Place through an unlocked door before nabbing several packages in the lobby and running away, police said.
Robbery 2: At 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered a residential building at 15 Sheridan Square again through an unlocked door and removed several packages from the lobby before running away, police said.

Robbery 3: At 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered a residential building at 24 Cornelia Street by breaking open the front door and stealing several packages from the lobby before running away, police said.
The three West Village addresses are within a four-minute walk of each other, with 115 Washington Place and 15 Sheridan Square more or less being on the same block.
The NYPD released a photo Sunday of a man wanted in connection to the package robberies.
