Serafina Opens Fast-Casual Eatery In Greenwich Village: What To Know

The popular Italian spot is opening three new outposts with a fresh concept, one of which already welcoming patrons in Greenwich Village.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — The popular Italian restaurant Serafina is opening a trio of new fast-casual eateries, including one already welcoming customers in Greenwich Village.

The new outpost, called Serafina Express, prioritize convenience and speed in a smaller space than its typical locations. The Greenwich Village spot opened at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street.

"Over the past two years, our fans expressed that they wanted easier access to their favorite Serafina locations as they navigated work and lifestyle changes," Vittorio Assaf, co-founder of the Serafina Restaurant Group, said in a news release about the openings. "We’re very excited to now introduce Serafina Express and bring the brand to several new neighborhoods."

The new locations are all 1,500 to 3,00 square feet, with wood and marble counters, and a centerpiece that features antique colorful hand-painted ceramic dishes.

The Greenwich Village Serafina Express location is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dine-in, pickup, delivery, and catering.

The express locations serve menu favorites such as ravioli and thin crust pizza, along with new options like coffee, teas, juices, beers, wine and more.

“We are excited to offer our guests the quality of real Italian food they have come to know and love in a new casual Serafina Express setting that prioritizes speed and cutting-edge technology,” says Fabio Granato, co-founder of Serafina Restaurant Group, in a news release.
