Staten Island Comedian Shops For Pup In Chelsea Pooch Shop: Report

CHELSEA, NY — Will this pup's new owner be feeding them "funny bones?"

Former SNL start and "king" of Staten Island Pete Davidson was seen shopping for a new man's best friend at Citipups on Eighth Avenue earlier in May, reports TMZ.

Also with him was his new girlfriend, actor Chase Sui Wonders, reports the celeb website.

Workers at the 35-year-old puppy shop told the website that Davidson and Wonders came in May 21 and left with a two-and-a-half month old Cavapoo.

Davidson's pervious dog, Henry, recently died from an unknown illness at the beginning of May at only two years old, according to a message from Davidson posted on the Instagram account of longtime friend Dave Sirus.

"We love you Henry," the message read. "Thank you for making our lives fuller and reminding me what actually matters."

Davidson's new friend from Citipups comes from one of the many breeders the shop works with, which left some fans upset that the comedian didn't adopt a rescue dog.

"His allergies are more extreme than people realize," wrote Sirus, "it was his understanding that a breeder was necessary to find one of the only breeds he’s capable of being near."

No name for the new pooch has been announced yet.
