Train Hits Person's Head At West 4th Street Station: MTA
The incident caused minor delays on the E line.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A subway train hit a straphanger in the head on a platform at the West Fourth Street station Friday evening, an MTA spokeswoman said. The southbound E train struck the person, who apparently leaned their head over the platform edge, just after 5 p.m., the spokeswoman said.
First-responders treated the person's minor injuries on the scene. The MTA did not have any information about the person's identity.
The train waited at the station as workers investigated, causing minor delays on the E line, the spokeswoman said.

The MTA also warned of delays on the A, C and E lines because of a train with mechanical problems at West Fourth Street. C trains are running express from Canal Street to 59th Street and E trains are running express from Canal Street to 42nd Street.
The incident came less than two hours after a 6 train struck a person on the tracks at the Brook Avenue station in the Bronx, causing delays on that line in both directions.
