West Village Eatery Within Car Showroom Named Hottest In Borough

WEST VILLAGE, NY — It is not every day that a Michelin-starred Korean fine dining restaurant partners with a luxury car company to open a new eatery. But that is exactly what's happened with the recently opened Onjium at Genesis, which was just named one of the hottest restaurants in Manhattan.

The food review and news website Eater NY keeps a running list of "The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Manhattan" that it updates at the beginning of each month, and the West Village Korean restaurant was one of the three new additions to the December ranking.

The restaurant is called Onjium at Genesis House. It is located at 40A 10th Avenue within a luxury car room.

Onjium has other Michelin-star rated restaurants in Korea, and it partnered with the car company Genesis to open its NYC outpost.

"Michelin-starred Seoul fine dining restaurant Onjium, known for its modern interpretations of Korean Royal Cuisine, partnered with luxury car company Genesis to open an NYC outpost this fall. Here are the restaurant's hours, it is closed on Mondays:

• Tuesday - Thursday
• 11 a.m - 10 p.m.
• Friday - Saturday
• 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.
• Sunday
• 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Outside of its cars on display, Onjium at Genesis House also boasts a tea pavilion, library, and a scholar's room, which is curated by a luxury book publisher with special edition books, display items, and unique accessories.
