Arrest Made in Central Moriches Shooting Death
David Lemp, 38, is being charged with first-degree manslaughter.
A Center Moriches man awaits arraignment for shooting a man to death earlier this week, according to a Suffolk County Police Department news release.
David Lemp, 38, was arrested and charged Tuesday with first-degree manslaughter for shooting Nathanial Lathan, 47, at his home on Bowditch Lane Sunday Dec. 13.
According to officials, Lathan drove himself around 2:40 a.m. Sunday to 7-Eleven, located at 632 Main St., Center Moriches, after he was shot in the leg.

He was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital where he died.
Lemp’s arraignment will be at the First District Court in Central Islip Wednesday.
