Motorcyclist Dies In Hampton Bays Crash: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A motorcyclist died in a Hampton Bays crash Tuesday, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at about 5:55 p.m. on North Road. The motorcyclist, Darwin E. Monsalve Vargas, 35, of Hampton Bays, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation; North Road was shut down for about two hours while the investigation was ongoing, police said.
