Quogue Police Log: DWI and Drug Arrest

Quogue Village Police reports through Dec. 5.

The following information was supplied by theQuogue Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• On Nov. 28 at 6:15 p.m. Quogue Village Police charged Edward W. Hudson, 74, of Amityville with DWI, a misdemeanor. According to police, Hudson was stopped on Montauk Highway for making an unsafe lane change and driving on shoulder. He was also charged with refusing a pre-screen test, a violation.

• On Dec. 4 at 10:21 a.m., Quogue Village Police charged Robert Wilson, 52, of Westbury with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor and criminal possession of a controlled substance, also a misdemeanor. According to police, Wilson was charged after police received a tip that he was driving recklessly on Montauk Highway. Police responded and said they witnessed Wilson changing lanes unsafely and crossing a double yellow line. Police said Wilson was also charged with an equipment violation for only having three tires on the car — the fourth wheel only had a rim.
