Few things say Friday afternoon in early summer like a Caribbean cocktail, so a couple of staffers at Rumba - manager Josh Gold and bartender Kayla Denimarck - gave us a tutorial on a couple of their more popular selections: a Caribbean rum punch and a good old fashioned mojito.
Here is how they put them together if you're following along at home:
Mojito:
- a couple of mint leaves
- a couple of diced limes
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 2 oz. lemon rum
- top with soda water
- shake and serve
Rum punch:
- 1.5 oz. of dark and light rum
- 0.5 oz. orange curaçao
- fill with punch base
- stir and serve
