Shinnecock Yacht Club Mark 125 Years in Business
The yacht club held an anniversary galla on Sunday.
The 250-member strong , which sits at the end of Niamogue Lane in Quogue, marked their 125th anniversary on Sunday with a celebration at their headquarters.
The yacht club, according to an article published by 27east, was founded in 1887 with its simple clubhouse built in 1901. The club has since grown to be known as a sailor's haven where members race their boats for fun on the weekends.
