'So Happy!': Tears Of Joy As Rajah, Lost Bengal Cat, Returns Home Safe
Missing for more than 2 weeks, Rajah is home safe and sound now in Hampton Bays.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — It was the happiest of endings for a Hampton Bays woman who had desperately searched for her lost Bengal cat, Rajah for more than two weeks: Rajah returned home Friday night, safe and sound.
"He just walked through the front door," Sonya Fezza exclaimed Friday night. "I'm so happy."
Fezza said she and her boyfriend had been out searching for Rajah, along with a dedicated animal rescue volunteer, shaking food bags and calling his name. Her mom had stayed behind at the house with the door cracked, so that Rajah could smell familiar scents and possibly make his way back.

Suddenly, Fezza said, "My mom started screaming, 'I have him! I have him!' We all went running up the road and sure enough, he was there!"

Skinny, tired, and hungry, Rajah ate heartily and snuggled in his grateful mom's arms.

Rajah went missing on Thursday, April 10, after running out the door of her home in Hampton Bays.
The community opened its hearts to help, she added, searching, as she had, for long days and nights.
She posted flyers at stores, the vet . . . anywhere that she could think of. "There were so many flyers that it came to the point that people would see me, or my boyfriend or parents, and say, 'Any luck finding your cat?'" she said.
Overjoyed, Fezza said she was so thankful for the outpouring of concern. "I'm so happy," she said. "He means everything to me."
