Volunteers Open Hearts To Expand Westhampton Beach Kids' Horizons
Westhampton Beach students learned new skills this summer thanks to community volunteers.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Community volunteers opened their hearts to Westhampton Beach students this summer, affording them the chance to learn new skills and expand their horizons.
Westhampton Beach students participating in the district’s four-week summer recreation and academy program, held at Westhampton Beach High School, were able to hone their baseball skills with the help of Bill Dawson of East End Little League, the district said.
Dawson ran clinics with the younger students and gave pointers to older students as they played Wiffle ball and practiced running bases.

Students also worked on their swimming skills through the Swordfish Swim Academy, receiving instruction each morning, the district said.
