Westhampton 5th Graders Create Art for School

The kids have left their mark, a forever legacy, in the Westhampton School District as they prepare for middle school.

Westhampton Beach, NY- Westhampton Beach fifth-graders recently created a wildlife art project that not only showcased their creativity but will mark their time in elementary school.

With the help of visiting artist and Quogue Wildlife Refuge Educator Tony Valderrama, the students worked collaboratively to paint six murals on ceiling tiles. The colorful tiles, which feature images of dolphins, tigers and birds, will be displayed in a hallway that leads to the fifth-grade wing at the school.

The students were overjoyed to have their drawings serve as their legacy at the school as they begin to prepare their transition to middle school.
