Westhampton Beach Heralds Holiday Season With Tree, Menorah Lighting — And New Parade Of Lights: Photos

WESTHAMPTON BEACH — Holiday spirits were soaring in Westhampton Beach Saturday as the Westhampton Beach Fire Department held its first-ever Parade of Lights.
It was a day filled with festivities as the Westhampton Chamber of Commerce also held its annual menorah and tree lighting ceremony on the village green.

The Westhampton Beach Fire Department delivered Santa with some help from the Quogue and Eastport Fiire Departments.

In years past the Westhampton Beach Fire Department has enjoyed chauffeuring Santa Claus, and other characters throughout the community, in an event known as the Santa Run, the WHBFD said.

That tradition ended last year, the WHBFD said.

The Westhampton Beach Fire Department chauffered Santa Claus down Main Street to the end at the Village Green to assist with the festivities.

"The members of the Westhampton Beach Fire Department are excited to be a part of this new holiday tradition," the fire department said.
