A Southampton man was arrested for fleecing investment clients out of $1 million. The LIRR says no alcohol on the way to or from SantaCon this weekend.

1. Peggy Spellman Hoey advises SantaCon attendees that the Long Island Rail Road and Metropolitan Transportation Authority is banning alcohol consumption on trains during the convention. The ban runs from 4 a.m. on Saturday through noon on Sunday and includes platforms. (Patch)
2. A Southampton man is accused misappropriating over $1 million from his investment advisory clients. Jeffrey Slothower is the founder of a Manhattan-based investment advisory firm, Battery Private. He was arrested Monday in Southampton. (27east.com)
3. News 12 has details on a drive-by shooting in East Patchogue-North Bellport. A man was shot while riding in the back of an SUV and seriously injured. (News 12)
4. Peggy Spellman Hoey explains that the Suffolk County Sheriff office will crack down on illegal parking in handicapped spaces from now until the New Year. Fines are between $50 and $150. (Patch)
