On Monday, news broke that a discussion has started to move the 103-year-old Southampton Hospital to the Stony Brook Southampton campus by building a new 125-bed facility. Officials say the new hospital will not only provide a wonderful training ground for new doctors on the forefront of academic medicine, but will also improve care on the East End of Long Island.
