6 West Islip Students Named NYSSMA All-State Musicians

The students will perform at the New York State School Music Association's All-State Festival in Rochester this December.

WEST ISLIP, NY —Six West Islip High School students have been selected to perform in the New York State School Music Association's All-State Festival in Rochester from Dec. 1 to 4.

The West Islip School District announced Friday that the students chosen include Ruth Boucher, mixed chorus; Lianna Crisci, alternate mixed chorus; Jack Dyer, mixed chorus; Vivian Gallagher, symphony orchestra; Sophia Stehlik, symphonic band, alternate instrumental jazz; and Aaron Tomasello, mixed chorus.

The festival features accomplished musicians from New York State. Students will be attending the four-day festival at the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music Concert Hall.
