A motorcycle crash on the corner of 1st Street and 9th Avenue in Brentwood has left a 24-year-old man dead, police said. On Sunday, at 4:20 a.m., Jimmy Espinal, of Bay Shore, was attempting to turn onto 9th Avenue when his 2002 Honda motorcycle struck the curb and crashed into a road sign and a fence, police said.He was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle was impounded for safety checks.  Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are currently investigating the crash.
